My forty two years as an active participant in the hobby have been most rewarding. My wife, Joan, and I have enjoyed many miles of touring, currently in our 1912 Locomobile and our 1910 Renault AX Doctor's Coupe. We have made countless new friends all over our country and abroad. We are fortunate to have both sons, Bob and Mac, similarly involved with their families in Brass Era preservation and touring.
I have always advocated the hands-on participation of our youth, the real future of our hobby. This is best accomplished by the unselfish sharing of our automobiles and the responsibilities of mechanical achievement and operational ecstasy. My plea is "Share the Good Stuff, Dad".
Now, at the midpoint of my elected term, I continue to be most interested in the future of our Club. As a member of the Long Range Planning Committee, I feel that it is vital that we seek increased efficiencies in the services that we offer to our members. The achievement of our 501c3 status will enable us to be much more competitive for benevolent support. Well planned, highly visible touring is both fun for us and highly advantageous to our public image and their enjoyment of our world. I feel that we should always be seeking new ways to share our hobby. I would be pleased to hear from you. Please send me an e-mail.
