I grew up and still live in Washington State. My antique car interest started at age 12 with the gift of a Revell plastic car model kit. I built many of them and when I was 15 I went hunting for a real old car. I found a Model T Ford in a pile of blackberries. By the time I was 16 I had built it into a Speedster, which I still own today. I attended Western Washington University and have a degree in Industrial Engineering. I have worked in the Plastics Industry for the last 30 years. I own an Injection Molding Company in Bellingham. This has allowed me to collect and store my cars.
I am a founding member of the Skagit Snohomish Regional group and past president. I participate in as many tours, swap meets and club events as possible. I am an avid Brass Car nut. I will stand firm to keep the club a pre 1916 club. I hope through my involvement with the Board of the HCCA I can influence this position.
I love to tour my cars. I believe in authenticity while keeping safety in mind.
Our purpose as a club is to educate and perpetuate. We need to keep the "younger" generations aware of their past. The Automobile is obviously one of the greatest influences the world has known. It is our duty to perpetuate our heritage by involving our youth with our brass cars. The board of the HCCA is constantly working toward this goal.
What a great hobby/passion. I could not imagine doing anything else. Come introduce yourself to me when you see me at the Hershey tent or Bakersfield meet.
