The "Brighton USA and 1 & 2
Cylinder Tour" is an annual North Jersey Region event. It is
based from the Stephens / Benz farm near Oldwick, NJ.
Eligibility:
|
Any 1 or 2 cylinder car, truck, or motorcycle
1915 and earlier
Any vehicle 1905 and earlier regardless of number of
cylinders
Any electric 1915 and earlier
Any steam car 10 HP or less, 1915 and earlier |
The event consists of a
morning tour, a good home cooked lunch [prepared by Margaret with
help of friends], followed by an afternoon tour.
The tour routes are
somewhat different each year, but normally are of about 2.5 hours
each as timed in a fully loaded 12HP Maxwell. Shorter routes are
available for the more primitive vehicles. Both morning and
afternoon tours start and end at the farm. This is a rural area with
both paved and dirt roads available for touring. Alternate routes
around the dirt roads are normally provided for those who prefer
pavement. We have several acres available for parking of trailers or
campers [no hook-ups].
