Looks like a great time--sorry we couldn't make it this year! Hope to see more photos posted--thanks for these, Gil.

Re: Bill Chalmers

From Gary Van Dyken:

For Bill Chalmers' memorial the location is the Hamilton Golf and Country Club, 232 Golf Links Rd., Ancaster, On., L9G 2N5 from 1 pm to 5pm, January 12. Bill was a wonderful fellow and we shall miss him dearly with his soft spoken humorous comments and a slow wink of his eye.

Re: Stuck Parts: Tips to Loosen Them

I have been using the ATF/Acetone to disassemble a chassis that went through a fire 10 years ago and sat outside since. I'm very impressed. I put it in a household spray bottle.

Re: 1913 Overland Rear End Question

Hello Jeff--wondering whether you got to the modern seal project you mention in this thread. I would be curious to learn what you used and how it worked. I have a '14 roadster.

Thanks

Re: Early history of my 1912 Reo?

I was looking through Floyd Clymer's "The Story of Harrah's Horseless Carriage Caravan", an account of Bill Harrah's first Reno tour in 1949, and found two references to 1912 Reos. The first was on this tour and was owned by Norman Griswold but driven by Edwin Allison of Sacramento. The car appears ...

Re: Thomas Flyer part ?

Hello,
Pretty nice ditch find! It is definitely a Thomas Flyer hub cap. If it has nickel plate over brass, I would guess it's from a later model, say 1912. I'll point out this post to a Thomas owner who would know better than I.

Thanks for sharing.

Early history of my 1912 Reo?

Hello, This may be a long shot, but I'm wondering whether anyone out there may know the early history of my 1912 Reo. Chris Figge bought the car from a Pontiac GMC dealer in Glendale, CA in 1972. At that time, it was painted light grey with red pin-striping. The serial # is 36930. In the process of ...

14 Overland wiring

There's a company in Australia I corresponded with--www.vinwire.com.au
I wasn't doing a full restoration so decided to make do with what I had. They list a 1915 model 79 pattern, which is wrong, but they compared their pattern to a model 79 wiring diagram and felt it was the same.
