Pair Powell and Hammer self-generator Brass H-Lamps—1903-1912 European

    Click photo for MORE Photos

Almost matched pair of self generated Brass Carbide Head Lamps. There are small differences in small details, but these are the same size

Not Concours Restored, but are in very good condition for showing and driving.

They are completely complete and would probably illuminate

They would be suitable for medium size cars from about 1902-1912. These are European Powell and Hammer made in Birmingham, England; they were imported in "The Day", all over the world.

They require use of forks with 6 1/4" spacing. The fork mounts are 1/2 inch diameter. I would like $3,700

I acquired this 1933 Packard from a family who owned it for 65 years

An amateur body off restoration was completed many years ago and the car has been enjoyed and used ever since.   Some of its many features include:

    • Interior is very nicely done as the pictures clearly show
    • Has a 12V AM/FM radio hidden in glovebox (car is 6V)
    • Starts easily in all conditions
    • No overheating issues
    • I believe everything works!
    • Has long rear axle gears for touring
As the owner aged, he had power steering added so he could continue to drive and enjoy this wonderful Packard

I purchased from his estate in early 2017 and have enjoyed this 1933 Packard Eight for all of 2017. It is now time to let it go to its next caretaker for miles of smiles

    1903 Thomas Model 18

    Click photo for MORE Photos

The car belonged to Henry Janssen of Buffalo, NY for many years. He bought it from a museum in Buffalo when it closed. It was a very original and complete car when Henry bought it. He began to do some restoration on the wood of the body and re-wooded the wheels

Henry enjoyed the Thomas for the rest of his years. His estate sold the Thomas to a collector in Washington where it had a complete restoration; finished in 2005 and shown at a few local Concours shows and driven about 300 miles in Single Cylinder Tours, Completed the Single Cyl Touring Registry Tour in LaConner, WA

1903 was Thomas` first year of production. There are 5 other known examples of this car. Powered by a single cyl, 8 hp engine with 106.3 cu.inch displacement. This rear entrance tonneau with a 3 speed progressive transmission, leather cone clutch, 28 x 3 wheels, geared water pump, and chain drive is as new

When restored, every part was fitted with new bearings, polished and balanced the crank and flywheel, rebushed portions of the trans, rebuilt the rear end, new tires, new black leather upholstery, etc.

The brass lamps were done by Rick Britten and is one of a few known to exist. The single self generating head light is correct for the car and the only one known to exist. The Thomas starts on the first or second pull, runs and drives very nicely and is very reliable.

I recently installed a hidden push button starter to save my aging arms!! Eligible for the London Brighton Tour for sure!!! I have owned this Thomas for the last 5 years and shown it at Amelia Island in 2014. Priced way below my investment at $175,000. Interesting trades considered.

This car shipped new from Detroit on October 31, 1913 and was sent to the Don Lee agency in Los Angeles, Ca.

It later surfaced in Reno, Nevada where it was wagered in a Poker Game in 1962. The individual who won the car in the poker match was not up to the task of getting the car in proper condition for operation and sold the car in 1972 at which time it was restored

Since the mid-1970's this car has been restored, maintained, and refreshed. It is a great looking, reliable tour car.

In 2016 it won a CLC Senior First and BoS

Bought this as a "basket case" in 1959 in Kansas City. When in California, I discovered a similar 1903 stake-bed truck in the Hayes Museum in Woodland

The engine is a one cylinder air-cooled style "porcupine" allowing a maximum speed of 25 mph

The vehicle, weighting roughly 1,500 pounds, sits on original frame made by Carnegie Steel. This gas-powered, highly collectible vehicle includes:

    1. Four brass lamps
    2. Buggy top bows (not shown)
    3. Four brass fenders
    4. Enclosed metal trailer for hauling
