What Works Best to Remove Clear Coat From Brass

Author: Marilyn Balduff

I have always used varnish remover and lots of paper towels to take the clear coat off of the brass on the cars that we have purchased. You have to be very careful not to get any of the varnish remover on your car's paint. It will destroy the paint. It helps to take the brass off of the car and to work in a well ventilated area. If you can't easily remove the brass from your car, use small pieces of paper towels or Q tips and lots of patience. Good luck!!
